Roger Sharp is the CEO and co-owner of Sharp Funeral Homes alongside his children and son-in-law of Sharp Funeral Homes. He established Sharp Funeral Homes in 1971, which has locations in Swartz Creek, Grand Blanc, Fenton and Linden. Roger is a graduate of Ferris State College and California College of Mortuary Science, as well as a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He is a member of the county, state, and national Funeral Directors Associations.
RJ received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Michigan State University in 1997 and a Bachelor of Mortuary Science Degree from Wayne State University in 2000. He currently serves on the Linden Downtown Development Authority. RJ has been active in many community and civic organizations within Genesee County including Fenton Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and Swartz Creek Downtown Development Authority, as well as national professional organizations. RJ is a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner through the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. RJ and his three daughters Remy, Mason and Parker live in Linden and are active members of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Fenton.
Michael has worked with Sharp Funeral Homes for over 30 years and is currently the President of Funeral Service Operations. He was a 1982 graduate of Linden High School and received an Associates Degree from Ferris State University in 1987, and a Bachelor's Degree in Mortuary Science from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1989. Michael is a Linden native and resides there with his wife, Jennifer and their twins, Samuel and Paige. They are members of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Fenton and are very active in the community. Michael has served on the Fenton Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, where he also served on the Executive Board and has chaired the Annual Chamber Golf Outing for many years. He is a member of the Fenton Rotary Club, Fenton Knights of Columbus, and the Fenton XX Men's Club.
Jennifer was raised in Swartz Creek and was a 1988 graduate of Swartz Creek High School. She graduated from Michigan State University in 1992, and from Mid-America College of Funeral service in Jeffersonville, Indiana in 1993. Jennifer has been a licensed funeral director since 1993. She currently holds the roles of manager of the Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Flint/Grand Blanc Township and Secretary for the company. Jennifer and her husband Michael Scully reside in Linden, with their children Samuel and Paige. They are members of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Fenton. Sam and Paige attend Powers Catholic High School. Jennifer spends her free time accompanying Sam and Paige to their sports and extracurricular activities.
Stephanie grew up in Swartz Creek and is a 1991 graduate of Swartz Creek High School. She graduated in 1993 from Mid-America College of Funeral Service in Jeffersonville, IN. Stephanie is a licensed funeral director serving area families and her role also includes Treasurer for Sharp Funeral Homes and manager of the Linden Chapel. She has lived in Fenton since 1998 with her husband Brendan and their two sons, Preston and Bennett.
Greg received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Michigan State University in 1981 and then attended Wayne State University where he studied Mortuary Science. He became a licensed funeral director in 1982, and is a fourth generation funeral director. Greg is happily married to Anna M. Buresh and currently resides in White Lake.
Tom was raised in Flint, Michigan and is a graduate of Carman High School. After high school, He attended Olivet College before transferring to Wayne State University – School of Mortuary Science where he graduated in 1987 and completed his State and National Boards Exams. He has also achieved his Certified Planning Consultant (CPC) and Certified Cremation Specialist (CCSM) designations.
Tom and his wife; Laura Francke, live in Flint and he has two sons, Dylan and Ethan. He is a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and has been a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 30 years.
Jennifer lives in Swartz Creek with her 15 year old son, Santino. She graduated from Swartz Creek High School and Mid America College of Funeral Service, Jeffersonville, IN. She is a member of Flint First Wesleyan Church. Jennifer has worked in funeral service for 25 years as a funeral director as well as assisting families with cemetery markers and monuments. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and watching her son play baseball and soccer.
Blake received his Bachelor of Mortuary Science Degree from Wayne State University in 2016. While attending Wayne State University, he was awarded the C. Beaver Edwards Restorative Art Award. In 2018, Blake was selected for the National Funeral Directors Association Meet the Mentors. He also attended the Fountain National Academy of Professional Embalming Skills in Springfield Missouri. He lives in Flushing with his wife, Brooke, and two sons, Oliver and Felix. Blake is a member of Ss. Charles and Helena Catholic Church. In his free time, Blake enjoys spending time with his family and the outdoors.
Brad has worked in funeral service since 2013. For three of those years, he was a celebrant and has been an Advanced Funeral Planner since 2016. Brad has been privileged to represent Sharp Funeral Homes since 2018. Brad is a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University, has been a Pastor of Worship Arts for 17 years, and has a heart for ministering to those he meets through the funeral home. Brad enjoys living vicariously through his 5 daughters and personally enjoys singing, theater, and golf.
Martie was recently married to Dr. Robert McLandress. Martie has two children, Lisa (Jeff) Harris and Jason (Jill) Lind; and four grandsons, Bradley and Alex Harris and Preston and Graham Lind. She graduated from Linden High School and has lived in Linden her entire life with the exception of the years spent at MSU. Martie is a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She enjoys golfing, boating, antiquing and going to her grandsons' sporting events at Powers Catholic High School. Martie has been employed at Sharp Funeral Homes for the past 10 years in various positions, the past five years as an Advanced Planning Counselor. Martie enjoys meeting with families to help them understand the benefits of pre-planning.
Julie has worked for Sharp Funeral Homes since 1993, working many positions, most recently as a Funeral Directors Assistant and Coordinator of the Miller Road Chapel. She grew up in Flint and is a graduate of Flint Southwestern High School and attended Michigan State University. She and her husband, Steven reside in Flushing, they have 3 children, Tyler, Lindsey, Makenna and a granddaughter, Lyla Rose. She enjoys spending time with her family, helping out at school events and watching sporting events of all types.
Jenny has proudly worked for Sharp Funeral Homes for 13 years as a Funeral Directors Assistant and Coordinator of the Fenton Chapel. She believes everyone has a different purpose in life and is truly grateful for being able to help and comfort families during one of the most difficult time in their lives. She grew up in Flint, was a 1998 graduate of Kearsley High School and attended Mott Community College. In her spare time she enjoys music, setting and accomplishing life goals, and spending time with friends and family, especially her son Dominick.
Jackie has worked for Sharp Funeral Homes for nearly eight years. She is a Funeral Directors Assistant and Coordinator of the Flint/Grand Blanc Township location. Jackie lives in Fenton, and grew up in Davison. She has a daughter, Christina and two grandchildren, Camden and Ryleigh who live in Georgia. Prior to working for Sharp Funeral Homes, Jackie was in the hospitality business for 25 years in Genesee County. She enjoys gardening, working out, spending time with family and trips to Georgia.
Rebecca joined the Sharp Funeral Home Team in November of 2018, after relocating from Atlanta, Georgia. She worked as an administrative assistant in Georgia for a family owned funeral home for over 18 years. She and her husband, Charles reside in Holly and have two children. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, traveling, and exploring Michigan.
Jay has worked at Sharp Funeral Homes for 6 years. He is Sharp's Community Outreach Coordinator, serving in the community with hospices, local ministers, and other community organizations. Jay, his wife Jess, daughter Blair, and son Soren live in Grand Blanc. He and his family are actively involved at Faith Church of Linden where Jay serves as a pastor. He enjoys spending time with family, the outdoors, and serving in the worship ministry at his church.
