William Seymour

SEYMOUR, William Joseph - Age 92, of Grand Blanc, formerly of Cadillac, died Wednesday, March 4, 2020. Funeral Mass will take place 11:30 AM, Saturday, March 7, 2020 at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 7296 Gale Rd., Grand Blanc. Private burial will take place in Sunset Memorial Gardens, 2811 S. State Rd., Ionia. Visitation will take place at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass on Saturday. Those desiring may make memorial donations to the Dementia Society of America or National Federation of the Blind. William was born on December 7, 1927 in Lansing the son of Leo and Doris (LaGrow) Seymour. He graduated from SS Peter & Paul Catholic School. William continued his education serving several apprenticeships. He and Mary Lesky united in marriage on June 18, 1949 in Ionia. William worked for GM as an Executive for 34 years before his retirement. He was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association. William was a man of many talents to include snow boarding, carpentry, engineering and woodworking, just to name a few. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Seymour; 4 children, Robert (Sue) Seymour, Sandra (Mark) Lorenz, William (Colleen) Seymour Jr., and Jack (Kathy) Seymour; 14 grandchildren, Michelle (Jeff) Hoxworth, Rebecca (Dave) Pipkorn, Kimberly (Jeremy) Weiss, Ryan (Heather) Seymour, Michael (Colleen) Lorenz, Jennifer (Tyler) Guenther, Julie (Alan) Jacobs, Joseph (Brigette) Seymour, Jess Wisniewski, Christopher (Carrie) Seymour, Ashley Seymour, Alexander Seymour, Lorna Juett and Joseph Juett; 26 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, John (Marge) Seymour and Robert Seymour. William was preceded in death by his son, Michael Seymour; parents Leo and Doris Seymour; and 3 siblings, Leo, Jeanne and Jim. Online tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
