KUZINSKI, Mark Stuart - age 73, of Hartland, died August 24, 2020. An internment ceremony for immediate family will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery on Friday, September 25. All who loved and would like to share memories of Mark are invited to a celebration of life to be held at Kensington Metropark on Saturday, September 26 from 11 AM to 2 PM in an open house format. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org). Mark was born November 5, 1946 in Detroit, the son of Edward and Joan (Rogers) Kuzinski. Mark was active in wrestling, football and track and graduated from Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic High School. He attended Western Michigan University where he wrestled for a year. He then joined the US Army and served during Vietnam as a construction surveyor. Upon discharge, Mark returned to WMU to earn a bachelor degree. Mark married Diana Granger on September 4, 1971. Mark spent his career in foundry sales working for Auto Specialties, Champ Corporation, Columbus Foundries, and Intermet. He remained active with wrestling and was the coach of Lake Michigan Catholic High School and later was the long time coach of Hartland Wrestling Club. Mark was an avid runner and had run the Detroit Marathon and many half-marathons. He also enjoyed cycling and logged thousands of miles on his bike. Mark loved playing golf and has two holes-in-one in his lifetime. He was also an loyal University of Michigan sports fan. Surviving are: wife, Diana Kuzinski; three sons, Adam (Jill) Kuzinski of Castle Rock, CO, Cory (Christine) Kuzinski of Davison, and Brett (Angela) Kuzinski of New Castle, DE; grandchildren, Alena, Brady, Kiera, Cael Stuart, with Mackenzie and great-grandson Jameson on the way; brother, Paul (Barb) Kuzinski; brother-in-law, Jeff Wilson; sister-in-law, Jan Kuzinski; beloved niece, Kristen Harper; along with many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Frank Kuzinski; sister, Teresa Wilson; niece, Erin Wilson; as well as Diana's father and mother Kenneth and Doris Granger; and Diana's brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Laurie Granger.
