Katelyn Johnson Kirby

JOHNSON KIRBY, Katelyn Marie - Age 32, of Swartz Creek, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023.  Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek (A live stream of the service will be available on Katelyn's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com).  Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday from 4-8 PM and Tuesday from 10 AM until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Isla's College Fund, c/o Lisa Hickmott.

Katelyn was born August 17, 1990 in Flint, the daughter of David Earl and Lisa Marie (Moore) Johnson.  She was a 2008 graduate of Swartz Creek High School and she received an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from U of M Flint.  She enjoyed sewing, hiking, loved anything Disney, and most of all spending time with her daughter, Isla.

Surviving are: her daughter, Isla; mother, Lisa (Rick) Hickmott of Swartz Creek; father, David (Pamela) Johnson of Birch Run; siblings, Doni (Pete) Guertin of Fenton, Sean (Cynthia) Johnson of Oklahoma City, OK, Elaina Courtney of Birch Run, Nicole (Chris) Smith of Midland and Brienna Hickmott of Ovid; sister-in-law, Kristina Johnson of Birch Run; grandparents, Marilyn Moore of New Lothrop, Walt Hickmott of Owosso, Gladys Raymond of Birch Run; and several beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her brother, David W. Johnson; grandparents, Wayne Moore, Lavina Hickmott, John Raymond and David W. and Emily Johnson.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
