Gerald Berriman

Berriman, Gerald  Ernest - Age 90, of  Flint, died September 29, 2022. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday October 5 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel,  8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. He was born  December 19, 1931 in Flint the son of Ernest and Geraldine (Reichert) Berriman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Leyte where he worked as an Electronics Technician N Third Class. He then attended General Motors Institute. Jerry married Jean Elaine Wallace on July 11, 1953. They were married 66 years when she preceded him in death July 7, 2019. He worked for Chevrolet with more than 40 years of service as a Tool maker. He was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Jerry loved to travel, ride snowmobiles, and trailer camping. His biggest passion was boating and the lake front cottage he and Jean shared in Petoskey.

Surviving are: son, David (Sue) Berriman and granddaughter Melissa, all of Las Vegas, NV; daughter Karen Berriman of Flint; son Robert (Dorothy) Berriman and granddaughters Emily and Ashley Berriman, all of Elk Grove Village, IL; brother Morris (Peggy) Berriman; and nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and brother James (Sue) Berriman.
