BROWN, Dennis Michael - age 54, of Fenton, died suddenly, April 26, 2022 at Ascension Genesys. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:30 AM Monday, May 2, 2022 at St Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 2201 S. Old 23 Highway, Brighton, MI 48114 with Fr. David Howell celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 25800 W 10 Mile Rd, Southfield, MI 48033. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430 where a Scripture service will be held at 7 PM Sunday evening. Visitation will also be held from 10 AM - 11:30 AM Monday at the church. Dennis was born June 5, 1967 in Detroit, the son of Patrick and Eileen (McNamara) Brown. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Engineering from Lawrence Technical University and his Master's in Engineering Science at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Dennis married Rebecca Marie Ernst on December 29, 1990. He was an Electrical Engineer with General Motors in Autonomous Vehicle Development. Dennis loved music and playing ice hockey. He was a foodie, loved to travel, barbecue and host family gatherings. Dennis was also a devout Catholic and member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church and was currently studying to be a Deacon in the Diocese of Lansing. Surviving are: wife, Rebecca "Becky" Brown; three children, Jessica "Jessi" Brown (partner, Natacha Comandante-Lou), Curtis Brown (fiancee Tammy), and Emily Brown; two sisters, Patricia Wells and Teresa Brown; sister-in-law, Wendy Brown; and niece, Elizabeth Brown and nephews, Jacob Wells and Joshua Wells.
