Zona Faye Silver

SILVER, Zona Faye - Age 87, of Montrose, passed away Monday, November 18, 2024. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, November 22, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek (the service will be live streamed and can be viewed via the link on Zona's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com) Chaplain David Willston officiating. Burial in Hadley Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 4-8 PM and Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to Shriners Children Hospital. 

Zona was born September 4, 1937 in Waldenburg, AR, the daughter of Roy and Ollie (Gill) Henson. She married Kenneth B. Silver April 18, 1968 in Wheaton, IL and he preceded her in death June 29, 1994. She had resided in Montrose for the past 2 years coming from Bellaire/Gaines. Zona retired as a Registered Nurse from Hurley Hospital after 33 years of service. She enjoyed traveling, fishing and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. 

Surviving are: her daughters, Sharron Silver (Jerry Bancroft) of Montrose and Zetha Hawkins of Grand Blanc; step son, Timothy Lingle of Alabama; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; sister, Lottie Sphaler of Dallas, TX; special friend, Kourtney Powell of Chesaning; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ollie Henson; 3 children, Shannon Silver, Roy Asher and Jewell Asher. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
