Zell Brisendine

BRISENDINE, Zell- Age 96, of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at Durand Convelescent Center.  Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, December 3, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.  Mr. Dean A. Thoroman officiating.  Burial in Flushing Cemetery on Monday, December 4, 2006.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1-9PM Friday and Saturday.  Those desiring may make contributions to Valley Christian Academy, 3266 S. Genesee Road, Burton, MI  48519.  Mrs. Brisendine was born March 4, 1910 in Blytheville, AR, the daughter of Edwin Rufus and Ollie (Trosper) Woodard.  She married Buster J. Brisendine April 27, 1929 in Toledo, OH and he preceded her in death September 1959.  She had worked in sales for World Book Encyclopedia and was a past member of Bristol Road Church of Christ.  Surviving are:  son, Jacob E. 'Jake' and wife Betty Brisendine of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Gary and wife Tina Brisendine of Houston, TX, Cheryl and husband Mike Pavkovich of Gaines, Thomas and wife Candace Brisendine of Durand; great grandchildren, Aaron and Garrett Brisendine, Kyle Hannah Brisendine, Christian Pavkovich; brother, E.W. and wife Mildred Woodard of Pasadena, TX; special niece, Juanita Judkins of Roswell, NM and many other nieces and nephews  She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Clellon Woodard; sister, Helen Lanier.  The family wishes to extend special thanks to Bristol Road Christ of Christ and the staff at Durand Convelescent Center, especially Kathy, Sue, Robin and Dr. Roty.  Tributes or condolences may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
