Yvonne Elaine Buffa

BUFFA, Yvonne E. (Luplow), age 75, of Flint, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 25, 2009 at home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM Thursday, October 29, 2009 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 609 E. Fifth St., Flint. Fr. A. Santhiyagu, MSFS celebrant. The family will receive friends 10AM until time of Mass at church. Interment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be 1-4 & 6-8PM Tuesday and Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. A vigil service will be 7PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church or Dayspring Ministries or Kenneth Copeland Ministries. Yvonne was born February 18, 1934 in Saginaw, the daughter of Floyd and Dorothy Luplow. Yvonne was a graduate of Faith Tech Bible School and continued her studies of the bible after graduation from Dayspring Ministries. She served as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector as well as in several other capacities. There was no one more special than Yvonne. She sought to bring the love of God into everyone's life through her many ministries, including her Mary Kay Consulting Business and her affiliation with the Republican Party of Genesee County. Yvonne touched so many people through her gentle nature, soft-spoken conversations, and always looking for the best in people and overlooking their faults. She was the ultimate mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and great aunt. She will be forever missed, and loved always. She leaves behind daughter, Kim Mahard and husband Tom of Flint; grandchildren, Aaron Frazier of Stanton Island, NY, and Katie Mahard of Flint; great grandson Tyler Frazier; sisters Nancy Aurino and husband, Tony, Vicki Williamson and husband, Gary; and brother Gary Luplow; many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Salvatore Buffa; aunt, Margaret Powers and niece, Julie Burmeister.
