Yolanda Flory

Flory, Yolanda May - Age 85, of Swartz Creek, died December 29, 2020. Private family funeral services will be held at Sharp Funeral Home Miller Rd. Chapel  8138 Miller Rd. Swartz Creek. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions in lieu of flowers to Alzheimer's Association or Parkinson's Foundation. Yolanda was born June 17, 1935 in Flint, the daughter of John and Nellie (Shifter) Kish. She married Douglas Flory on June 20, 1964 in Flint.  He preceded her in death on April 20, 2017. Yolanda was a lifelong member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Douglas and Yolanda  also enjoyed  the Holiday Ramblers Trailer Club for many years. Her passion for gardening and travel fulfilled her life, but her undeniable love for Hummingbirds and the color Purple is how she expressed herself.  She was a lifelong active member of the Hungarian Reformed/ Heritage Church of Flint which anchored her life. Yolanda is survived by her 2 sons, Kevan (Kathleen) Flory of Topinabee, MI, Michael (Lamees) Flory of Commerce Twp.; grandchildren, Jude and Skyler; brother, Jack (Marge) Kish; nieces and nephews, Jeff (Sue) Kish and John (LeeAnn) Kish and their children.
