Yale Worges

Worges, (Yale) Scott - age 63, of Winterhaven, Florida, formerly of Grand Blanc, passed away July 29, 2017. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, August 19 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until the time of service. Scott was born in Flint on January 9, 1954. Son of Irene (Sinn) Worges and the late Dean (Diz) Worges. Scott worked at American Sun Roof, until it dissolved, he then worked in the glass industry for over thirty years. Scott was an avid outdoorsman, and a member of the NRA for forty years. His love of nature was insurmountable, he had a green thumb and he loved taking care of plants and flowers. He loved history and was diligent working on his ancestral beginnings. Scott enjoyed hunting and fishing, and always had a soft spot for his dogs and cats over the years. Scott had a great sense of humor and was a good and loving step-father. He is survived by his mother, Irene (Sinn) Worges; brother, Karl (Tracey) Worges; nieces, Jennifer Worges, Amy (Michael) Arrieta, Kari Worges; nephew, Matthew Scott Worges and great-nephew, Jonas Arrieta. Stepfather to Stefanie (Greg) Hindmon, and Jeffery White. He is also survived by his step-grandchildren, Celeste and Brody Hindmon; his forever love and soulmate, Lori (Yost) Worges; many aunts and dozens of cousins; special friend and cousin, Jeanne Rau; and lifelong friend, Gene Rumble.
