Winifred Skinner

Winifred  Cora Skinner (Winnie) - Age 93, of Linden, died Wednesday, March 10, 2021. A private family service will be held 3 PM Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St, Linden (A live stream of the service may be viewed by anyone on Winnie’s obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Pastor Brad Foster officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12-2 PM on Saturday, March 20, 2021. Those desiring may make contributions to Adopt-A-Pet, 13575 Fenton Road, Fenton, MI 48430. Burial and graveside services will also take place at a later date at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield. Winnie was born on November 21, 1927 in Detroit, the daughter of Alphonsus and Helen Trombly. She married Robert John Skinner on April 29, 1950. Winnie worked her entire life and retired from Kmart headquarters in Troy Michigan. She loved all animals but had a special place in her heart for her beloved dogs. She is survived by her children Kathleen Green of Linden and Donald Skinner of Hartland; Grandchildren Christy Sutherland, Jennifer Ward, Heather Skinner, Grant Skinner, and Logan Skinner; Great grandchildren Kyle Harper, Kelsey Harper and Erick Ward, Jr.; several nieces and nephews; and many close family friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob, sisters Joanne and MaryEllen; and life-long friend Charles Eubanks. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
