Wilma Arlene LEWIS

October 19, 1927 — July 16, 2009

LEWIS, Wilma Arlene - age 81, of Flint, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, July 16, 2009. Wilma was born October 19, 1927 in Flint, the daughter of Fred and Donna Pike. She married Carlton Lewis on October 5, 1947 and he preceded her in death on May 2, 2002. Wilma was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She loved her family so much. She never had a bad word to say about anyone. She loved her church and church family. She loved cleaning the church on Thursdays and the fellowship they shared. Wilma worked at Katherine Stevens in Genesee Valley for 25 years and was active in her community volunteering at the Whaley Home, Genesys Health Park and the former Genesee Memorial Hospital. Wilma is survived by: her son, Jim (Susan) Orosz, M.D. of Grosse Point Shores; three daughters, Terry (Ken) Donnelly of Grand Blanc, Kimberly (Mike) McCreedy of Fenton, Amber (Rick) Moore of Brighton; She is also survived by three grandsons, Tom Orosz, Christopher (Jamie) and Paul McCreedy; one granddaughter, Jennifer (Paul) Tucholski; great-grandson, Trent Hayden Tucholski, who was the apple of her eye. Also special friends Larry and Kay Herzog; special neighbor and friend, Dorrie Richmond. She will also be missed by her church family and her prayer group friends. The world lost a precious, sweet lady when she passed away but she is with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and we know He was waiting for her with open arms. Ma, are you up to a game of hand and foot? We love you, Ma! Services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at Heritage Baptist Church, 5199 E. Hill Rd., with Pastor Dan Louman officiating. Interment will follow at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held 6-9 PM Sunday and 2-4 and 6-9 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Visitation will also be held 10 AM until the time of service Tuesday at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Heritage Baptist Church.
