Wilma Lanning

LANNING, Wilma Lois - age 72, of Linden, died Thursday, December 3, 2015 at her residence. Services will be held 1PM Monday, December 7, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Burial will follow at Sharp Cemetery in Deerfield Twp. Visitation will be held 12 PM - 1 PM Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Lanning was born October 14, 1943 in Detroit, the daughter of William B. and Ruth (Petuna) Wilcher. She married Robert Lanning in 1965 and he preceded her in death in 1994. Wilma enjoyed cooking, gardening and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother and best friend to: five children, Robert Lanning, Jr. of FL, Ruth Ann (Saleh) Omar of Howell, Gail Like of Howell, Denise Lanning of Linden, and Melissa Lanning of Linden; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Randy Wilcher of Howell. She was also preceded in death by: her parents; daughter, Laurie; three brothers, William, Paul and Ricky; and sister, Jean Elizabeth.
