Mrs. Willie Mae Gamble, age 94, of Mt. Morris, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. Visitation will be held 4pm-6pm on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel. Visitation will resume the following day at 10am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11am on Friday, March 21, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes,  Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Mrs. Gamble will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Doris, at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. Mrs. Gamble was born on August 27, 1930 in LaGrange, Georgia to the late Johnny Davis and Carrie Brittian. She married the love of her life, Doris Gamble on September 2, 1948. Together they began raising their large family in Flint, Michigan before later settling in Mt. Morris, Michigan. Willie gave birth to nine children, of which there were two sets of twins.

Mrs. Gamble was employed with the Mt. Morris School District as a beloved bus driver for nearly 13 years before retiring. Mrs. Gamble was a devoted Christian attended New Jerusalem Baptist Church on a regular basis.

As one might imagine with having so many children whom resided throughout the United States. Mrs. Gamble and Doris always welcomed an adventure to visit them. For those who knew her best, they realized Mrs. Gamble's God given gift was being a caregiver. She cared for her husband, nine children, devoted 14 years toward the care of her mother and two years caring for her uncle Richard.. Mrs. Gamble instilled in her children a love of Christ, dedication to family, a strong work ethic and desire for higher education.

Mrs.Gamble is survived by her sons, Donnie Gamble of Huntsville, Alabama, Ronnie (Amber) Gamble of Flint Twp., Mark Gamble of West Bloomfield, Wendell (Calandra) Gamble of Flower Mound, Texas and Gene Ellison of Decatur, Georgia. Daughters, Melinda (Lloyd) Gaither of Flint Twp., Wanda (Paul) Gamble Mooiman of Arlington, Texas and Laronda (Brian) Honeycutt of Fairfield, California. 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and a brother Albert (Nina) Williams. She is further survived by her dear friend, Carrie Bell Harris and many other dear family members.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband Doris Gamble; her son, Anthony Gamble and daughter, Marion Dunn.
