WILCOX, William C. Â Age 74, of Fenton, died Friday, November 7, 2003 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, November 10, 2003 at Fenton United Methodist Church, 119 S. Leroy St., Fenton. Dr. David Truran officiating. Visitation will be held 7-9 PM Saturday, 2-5 & 7-9 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Carriage Town Mission or The Salvation Army. William was born April 14, 1929 in Dearborn, the son of John and Clara (House) Wilcox. He married Shirley Wood on April 22, 1950 in Detroit. Mr. Wilcox worked for Atlas Tech in Fenton. He was a member of Fenton United Methodist Church, where he was head usher, a member of the United Methodist Men, lay delegate to United Methodist Conference-Asbury Fellowship, as well as various other committees. He was also past president of the Fenton Lions Club and United Methodist Nomads. Mr. Wilcox was a former coach of Little League, a member of Silver Lake Horseshoe League, an avid hunter, camper, biker, golfer, gardener and birder. He loved The Lord Jesus and his fellow man. Surviving are: wife, Shirley; four children, Christine, Steve, Denise and Keith all originally of Fenton; five grandchildren, Mandy, Brian, Rachel, Gracie and Abby; three brothers and four sisters.
