William Teer

TEER, William Max - Age 88, of Grand Blanc, died Friday, April 7, 2017. Private services will be held. Those desiring may make contributions to Lewy Body Dementia Association (lbda.org). Bill was born February 18, 1929 in Grand Blanc Twp., the son of Reuben and Ina (Magee) Teer. He graduated from Grand Blanc High School in 1947. Bill was a star football player for the Grand Blanc Bobcats. He also won many awards in track and field, setting and holding the school pole vault record for many years after graduating. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. During his enlistment in the Korean War, he was a tank leader, and played football for the Army team in Germany. Bill worked for General Motors, retiring in 1988. He built his house, where he and his wife Mayme raised their four children. Bill was very skillful and precise in everything he did. He loved his wife Mayme very much and enjoyed their dinners out together. Bill was an avid gardener and outdoorsman. He loved fishing the great lakes and spending endless hours on the golf course. Bill enjoyed duck, deer, turkey, and grouse hunting. He will be deeply missed by his hunting partner (son, Bill). Bill also had the uncanny ability to fix anything that needed to be repaired. The solution to any problem was in the palm of his hand. Surviving are: 4 children, Susan (Ray) Svejcara, Bill (Susan) Teer, Jane Teer, Mary (Gary) Ferrell; 7 grandchildren, Heather, Joel, Billy, Daniel, Jacob, John, Jaclyn; 3 great-grandchildren; twin sister, Betty Campbell, and sister, Judy Mohan.
