William SWERDAN

SWERDAN, William "Pete" - age 78, of Flint, died Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Services will be held 11:30 AM Friday, November 5, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will beheld 5-9 PM Wednesday and 2-4 & 5-9 PM Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Pete was born October 8, 1932 in Lennon, the son of John and Mary (Malenich) Swerdan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from AC Sparkplug in 1985. Pete was a member of Am Vets, DAV, American Legion, and the Eagles Club. He also enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. Surviving are: wife, Emily "Dolly" Swerdan; daughter, Kimmie VanHorn and friend, Jack Smith; two sisters, Julia Wilson of CA, Lillian Balcastro of NJ; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
