William Simmons

SIMMONS, William R. "Bill" - Age 88, of Linden, died January 29, 2018. Graveside services will be held 11 AM Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Fairview Cemetery in Linden. William was born November 13, 1929 in Flint, the son of Ross B. and Grace (Harris) Simmons. He married Norma L. Sill on September 5, 1959. Mr. Simmons was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Fisher Body in 1987 with 32 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Norma; daughter, Jacqueline M. (Daniel) Emmert; son, Clifford R. (Jill) Simmons; nine grandchildren four great-grandchildren; brother, Ronald C. Simmons; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Mike Dahl. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Mary; sisters, Mickey, Dorene and Diane.
