William Schneider

SCHNEIDER, William "Bill" M.- Age 64, of Swartz Creek, passed May 13, 2017. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday May 18, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor Jeff Lambert officiating. Burial in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will take place 2-8 PM Wednesday with a Rosary being prayed at 7 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the wishes of the family. Bill was born February 23, 1953 in Owosso, the son of Harvey and Charlotte (Marshall) Schneider. He married Dorothy M. Stearns in Mt. Morris on June 24, 1976. Bill was a machine and press operator for General Motors and retired after 32 years of service. Bill also worked as a fork truck driver. He was an active Alcoholics Anonymous member. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching U of M Football, the Tigers, and the Lions. Above all, he loved his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Dotty; children, Eric (Amber) Schneider and Jilian (Alan Caldwell) Walton; grandchildren, Gracelynn and Lilian Walton and Alexis and Matthew Schneider; siblings, Judy, Tim (Cathy), Regina, Pat (Ray), Joanie, and Paul; several nieces and nephews; best friends, Kevin Austin, Mike Blake, and Ray Beaver. Special thanks to the McLaren nurses, especially in the Interventional Radiology Department. Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
