PITTSLEY, William David, Jr. - Age 71, of Swartz Creek, died suddenly on October 11, 2021 at his residence. Services will be held 1:30 PM Friday, October 22, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek (A live stream of the service will be available on Bill's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com) . Pastor Dan Bowman officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday, October 22, 2021 from 11:30 PM until the time of the service. Bill was born March 12, 1950 in Flint the son of William David and Phyllis Jean (Boyce) Pittsley. He married Shirley M. Goodrich May 23, 1978 in Flint. He was a proud Michigan Man, graduating from the University of Michigan in 1975 with a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering. After graduating from Ann Arbor, Bill began a prolific 39 year career at General Motors, until his retirement from GM in 2016. Bill was an avid University of Michigan sports fan who frequently enjoyed games at the Big House and Yost. Bill loved his family more than anything in this world. He would do anything in his power to help them or anyone else in need. He truly did his best to live a good life.
Surviving are: his wife of 43 years, Shirley; his four sons, Ronald (Lori) of Mt. Morris, Shane (Nancy) of Grand Blanc, Bill (Ashley) of Swartz Creek, and Justin of Saginaw; his grandchildren, Matthew, William Owen, Gabriella, Victoria, and Sarah. Bill will be missed very much by those that loved him, and those that were able to know him.
