William Robert 'Bill' Perkins

PERKINS, William Robert 'Bill', age 60, of Swartz Creek, died Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at home. Funeral Services will be held 12PM Saturday, September 30, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Rev. Les Winnick officiating. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Vernon. Visitation will be held 2-4PM and 6-9PM Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurses. Bill was born July 12, 1946 in Durand, the son of Thomas and Wilda (Schuyler) Perkins. He was a 1964 graduate of Swartz Creek High School. Bill married Brenda Merrow in Swartz Creek on September 5, 1980. He was a life-long farmer of Giltedge Farms in Swartz Creek, who enjoyed growing organic soybeans the past seventeen years. Bill loved the outdoors, being at home, and most of all, he loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife and loving companion for the last 33 years, Brenda of Swartz Creek; 4 children, William Robert Perkins II (Dawn) of Swartz Creek, Renee Marie Grattan (Larry)  of Waterford, Bobbie Kaye Featherston (Joey) of Estero, FL, Mindy Ann Klepoch (Jason) of Swartz Creek; 6 grandchildren, Ryan Borg, William R. Perkins III, Thomas Perkins, Madison Klepoch, Aiden Klepoch, Bailie Featherston; mother Wilda Elizabeth Perkins of Swartz Creek; sister, Sharon VanNorwick (Jim) of Houghton. He was preceded in death by his father in 2004.
