William Nash

NASH, William Joseph - Age 61, of Gaines, died Sunday, September 15, 2019.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes, 209 E. Broad St, Linden.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home 10:00 AM Thursday until the time of the service.  Those desiring may make contributions to the Special Olympics in Michigan, 6624 Timber Ridge Dr., Bloomfield Hills, MI 48301.

William was born December 10, 1957 in Flint, the son of John and Geraldine (Roberts) Nash.  He was a 1975 graduate of Grand Blanc High School and received an Associates Degree from Ferris State University.  He married Connie Lynn Palmer June 3, 1978 in Saginaw.  He resided in Gaines for the past 40 years coming from Grand Blanc. William was president of Michigan Motor Freight and also owned and operated Flint Truck Systems since 2006.   He enjoyed golfing, tractors, and trucks.

Surviving are: his wife, Connie; son, Brian (Nancy) Nash of California; daughter, Kelly Nash of Brownstown; mother, Geraldine Nash of Grand Blanc; sisters, Colleen (Carl) Thoms of Bad Axe and Christine (Jim) Long of Texas; brother, Jim (Lisa) Nash of Fenton; and several nieces and nephews.
