William Mckinney

McKinney, William Chance- Age 82, of Davison, died May 2, 2023 at his residence. No services at this time. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center,  6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Lung Association. William was born June 2, 1940 in Flint, Michigan. He graduated from Mandeville High School class of "58. He then attended Mott Community College and then finished at General Motors Institute. He retired from General Motors as a Quality Control Engineer for GM Assembly Plants. William was a lifelong sports fan with numerous years as a high school football official and college basketball referee. He enjoyed golfing. He was member of the American Legion Post 413 where he enjoyed many friends and family. All who knew him knew he was a true gentleman. Surviving are: his partner, Gloria Tappen; daughter Robyn Baum; sister Dana (Scott) Peter; aunt/sister, Patsy Farthing; two granddaughters Lauren (Sean) Fonce, Abbey Baum (Lindsey); Gloria's children, David (Kristina) Tappen, Carol Smith. He was preceded in death by his father, William P. McKinney; mother Iwana L. Brevard; sister Shirley Robbins; brother Jeff Brevard; son Brian McKinney; and Gloria's son-in-law Greg Smith.
