KINLOCH, William Matthew, age 88 of Flint Township, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, May 26, 2023 at the Sharp Funeral Homes - Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, Michigan. Rev. Dr. Joseph Novak officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM Thursday, May 25, 2023 at the funeral home with a 7:00 PM Eastern Star Memorial Service, Genesee County Association Service, followed by a Masonic Memorial Service. Visitation on Friday from 12:00 PM until the time of service. Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to the Order of Eastern Star, Grand Chapter of Michigan Charitable Fund.
William was born on January 16, 1935 in Grand Blanc, Michigan to the late William F. and Marguerite F. (Howie) Kinloch. He graduated from Flint Central High School and then served our country with the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He married Carole Jean (Dubbs) on November 27, 1959 and went to work as a Machine Repairman at General Motors. William played hockey in the UAW Men's League and enjoyed camping, golfing, playing cribbage and he cherished time spent with his family.
Surviving are his children, Katherine (David) Whetsell of Wesley Chapel, FL, Matthew (Tammy) Kinloch of Swartz Creek, and Andrew (LouEllen) Kinloch of Grand Ledge; 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; nieces and nephew.
Mr. Kinloch was preceded in death by his wife, Carole, parents, children, Larry, Billy and Annette. Siblings, Jack Kinloch, Mary Nicholas and Etta Hass.
