William Judy

JUDY, William Lloyd - age 81, of Durand, died Monday, June 22, 2015 at his residence. Services will be held 1 PM Tuesday, July 7 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. The family will receive friends from 12 PM until the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice. Mr. Judy was born September 9, 1933 in Crawley, WV, the son of Harlow and Lena (Legg) Judy. He was a Ranger in the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. Mr. Judy retired from General Motors Truck Plant and also was self-employed in cement work for 20 years. He enjoyed working, horse shoes, fishing, playing pool and his many friends at Pioneer Village in Florida. Mr. Judy was very active in the Boy Scouts and assisted in both of his grandsons earning Eagle Scout. Surviving are: wife of 62 years, Joe Ann Judy; son, Lynn Judy and wife, Willie of Lennon; two grandsons, Aaron Judy and Ryan Judy and wife, Mary; two great-grandchildren, Michael and Annie Judy; sister, Hilda and husband, Bob McIntire of Corunna.
