JENKINS, William Charles, Sr. 'Will' - Age 73, of Fenton, beloved husband, father and grandfather, died Friday, May 20, 2005 at Genesys Health Park. Private family services will be held at a later date. Mr. Jenkins was born December 14, 1931 in Highland Park, the son of William Richard and Ada (Ferguson) Jenkins. He was married to Nancy Edwards in 1956 in Detroit. Mr. Jenkins was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Japan during the Korean Conflict. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Masters Degree in Education from Michigan State University. He started his teaching career in Eaton Rapids in 1958. He then went to Fenton High School in 1963, where he taught until his retirement in 1994. During his tenure, he also coached various sports. Surviving are: his wife of 49 years, Nancy; three sons, Mark of Greenwood, IN, Will and wife Cindy of Fenton, John and wife Jackie of Pinckney; grandchildren, Brian, Kyle, Derek, Courtney, Cooper Charles; sisters, Phyllis Skedgell and Ada Skedgell; several nieces and their families.
