HOWCHIN, William A. -- Age 73, of Port Charlotte, FL, formerly of Lake Fenton, died August 6, 2006. Â Services will be held 11 AM Monday, August 14 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, Deacon Ron Kenney officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 9:30 AM until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association. Mr. Howchin was born May 19, 1933 in Flint. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a 1957 graduate of Michigan State University. He worked as a Packaging Engineer for the GM Parts Division in Swartz Creek before retiring in 1987. He moved to Florida in 2004 from Lake Fenton and Big Sky, Montana. Mr. Howchin was an avid golfer, outdoorsman, skier and RV traveler. He enjoyed camping and was a huge Michigan State Spartans fan. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Reggie Howchin of Port Charlotte, FL; son, Jeff Howchin of Las Vegas, NV; daughters, Lorie (Tom) Schehr, and Lisa (Bob) Wismer, both of Lake Fenton, and Nicole (Rob) Klosinski of Royal Oak; grandchildren, Trent and Lindsey Wismer of Lake Fenton; sister, Sidney (Don) LeGault of Flint; and several nieces and nephews.
