GREGSON, William Perry Age 75, A friend and servant of Jesus Christ left thisworld peacefully in the arms of his loving wife, Laura, on July 5, 2012. Funeral services will be held 1 pm Saturdayat Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd. Flint, officiated byPastor Mark Lasley. Visitation will beheld 11-8 pm Friday. "Perry" was born onAugust 1, 1936 to William and Gladys Gregson in Lake City, AR. He married the love of his life, Laura, onSeptember 3, 1955 and they spent their entire life living in the Flint area raisingtheir 3 children: William "Bill" and Judy Gregson, Mark Gregson, and Laurie andSteve Britton all of Flint Township. Their 3 children blessed them with 8grandchildren and their spouses and 12 great-grandchildren. Perry hired in toGeneral Motors in 1954 and transferred to the old Chevy plant in 1957 where heretired from in 1988. He was a chartermember of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church of Burton and he served as songleader for over 20 years. Perry woremany hats and had many names throughout his 75 years and whether he was "moose"or "big Bill" or "Papa Perry" he usually had a quick response. Along with his wife and children, he is survivedby brother, Melvin and Kay Gregson, brother in law, Orville Woodcock, sister inlaw, Peggy and Ken Johnson and many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents;mother and father in law; 3 sisters and their spouses; 2 sisters in law and abrother in law. He was a man loved by all and will be greatly missed.
