William Lee Grant

June 24, 1961 — August 19, 2007

GRANT, William Lee - age 46, of Swartz Creek, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, August 19, 2007 as a result of a heart attack. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, August 23, 2007 at the United Methodist Church of Swartz Creek, 7400 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Rev. J.D. Landis officiating. Visitation will be held 5-9 PM Tuesday and 1-4 and 6-9 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the William Lee Grant Memorial Fund, for his daughters' education. Bill was born June 24, 1961 in Flint, the son of Jerry Eugene and Jossie Lee (Crump)Grant. He married Kimberly S. Harrison on May 2, 1987 in Flint. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a dedicated worker in Skilled Trades at General Motors in the Pontiac Plant where he had served as a Committee Man and more recently in the Warren Tech Center. Bill was a devoted and active Christian and was a member of the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church. He was an avid fan of Detroit sports and NASCAR. He loved sports and was very active in his daughters' sporting activites. Bill also enjoyed hunting, fishing and outdoors activities. Left to cherish his memory: loving wife, Kimberly; three daughters, Nicole, Alyssa and Jennifer; mother, Jossie and husband, Gary Justin of Montrose; two brothers, Gary Grant and wife, Lynette of Flint Twp., John Grant and wife, Peggy of Swartz Creek; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Elaine and John Greenway of Owosso; many nieces, nephews and friends.
