William Gerald Hawkins

Hawkins, William  Gerald - Age 87, of Kaleva, Michigan, died January 11, 2024. Services will be held 11 AM Saturday February 17 at Faith Church, 4518 Silver Lake Rd., Linden. Visitation from 10 AM until the time of the service.  Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. 

William  was born November 28, 1936 in Detroit the son of Richard and Sarah (Berry) Hawkins. He married Janet Ruth Harriman on August 19, 1955, this was the day after she turned 18. He retired from Western Electric. He was an avid Water Skier and past member of the Silver Lake Ski Club. He enjoyed Golfing and was proud to have hit a Hole-in-one at the age of 81. 

Surviving are: three daughters, Sherri (Jeff) Kishpaugh of Six Lakes, Michigan, Kimberly Tomlinson of Bethesda, Maryland, Pamela (Steve) Escue of Grand Blanc; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; siblings, Harry Hawkins, Carrie Trojan, Sue Hawkins; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 66 years Janet in 2021; siblings, Virginia, Dick and Carl. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
