William Ferrier

November 20, 1939 — July 30, 2018

FERRIER, William Robert - Age 78, of Mt. Morris, formerly of Fenton, died Monday July 30, 2018. Funeral services will be held 3:30 PM Friday, August 3, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will be Thursday 2PM - 8 PM; and Friday 1 PM until time of service. A Masonic service will be held 7 PM Thursday under the auspices of the Grand Blanc Masonic Lodge #571. Memorial contributions may be made to Fenton Adopt A Pet. William was born November 20, 1939 in Flint, the son of Eiligah Robert and Vera Bell (Fluent) Ferrier. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. William retired from GM as a General Repair Man in 1992 after 32 years of service. He married his wife of 55 years Mary Margaret on February 18,1960 in Flint. William was a member of the Grand Blanc Masonic Lodge #571. He served on the Board of the Fenton Freedom Festival. William loved animals and was a fan of Star Wars. William was remarried to Gail Gatica on November 4, 2017 in Mt. Morris. Surviving are : his wife, Gail; two sons, Adam and wife Barb Ferrier and Gary and wife Robin Ferrier; daughter in law, Kima Ferrier; step children, Jason and wife Renee Gatica, Bryen and wife Coleen Gatica, Tricia and husband Tony Lantzer, Paul Gatica, and Manuel Gatica; 6 grandchildren, Kristin, Dustin, Amanda, Jennifer, Tiffani, and Robert; 9 step grandchildren, Matthew and Andrew Gatica, Allie, Kendall, and Lorenzo Gatica, Aliana and Anthony Lantzer, and Caden Gatica; 8 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. William was preceded in death by: his parents; his first wife, Mary M. Ferrier, and son, William Robert Ferrier II. Online tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
