COOK, William David - age 80, of Fenton, passed away, August 27, 2023. A memorial service will be held at 12 PM Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430. The family will receive friends from 11 AM - 12 PM Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Salvation Army. Bill was born September 4, 1942 in Flint, the son of Lyle and Margaret Ellen (Barnaby) Cook. He graduated from Beecher High School and married Linda Stratton on April 28, 1962. Bill retired from General Motors in 1999 after 37 years of service as a Tool and Die Maker. He enjoyed hunting and fishing at the Canada Creek Ranch, fishing in Canada with his best friend, Tom Greanya and other friends. He liked antique cars and playing Euchre at the American Legion in Florida where they wintered for over 20 years. Most of all Bill loved his family, attending all of his grandchildren's sporting events and McDonald's coffee. Surviving are: wife, Linda; son, William (Sandy) Cook II; daughter, Amy Marie (Jerome) Facchinello; grandchildren, William (Jessica) Cook III, Megan (Aaron) Reaume, Michelle (Lars) Kivari, Michael Facchinello, and Monica Facchinello; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Reaume, Rohan Reaume, Elias Kivari, William "Liam" Cook IV, Lincoln Kivari; sister, Carolyn Hill. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Lyle and Margaret Cook; and two brothers, Thomas and Kevin Cook. Arrangements by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W.
