CURRAN, William Smith, "Bill" age 84, of Columbiaville, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Brians House, Davison. Services will be 12:00p.m. Monday, October 24, 2011 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly. Bill was born January 4, 1927 in Detroit, the son of the late Herman and Beatrice (Smith) Curran. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1944 to 1946. Bill was employed by General Motors for 30 years, until his retirement in 1976. He was glad to say that he was retired for 35 years, 5 years longer than he was employed. Bill was an artist, enjoying sketching, and drawing. In addition, as a hobby he enjoyed tinkering with cars and motorcycles. Bill is survived by his daughter, Pamela Rasak of Burton; son, Thomas Curran (Kim) of Fenton; grandchildren, Sylena, Maryum and Matthew Rasak; great-grandchildren, Gannon, Trystan and Nevyn; brother, Gerald Curran (Shirley) of Flushing and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his 2 brothers, Frank Jr. and Robert.
