William Chapin

CHAPIN, William (Bill) Hunt - Age 76, of Fenton, passed away Monday, September 19, 2022.

On Monday, September 26, 2022, visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake  Road, Fenton, from 10:00 AM until noon, with the funeral service directly following visitation, and beginning at 12:00 PM. Chaplain Dale Lewis officiating.  Burial will be at 2:00 pm at the Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, that same day. Those desiring to make contributions on behalf of Bill, may do so to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation.

Bill was born September 4, 1946, in Abingdon, VA, and raised by Robert and Wilma (Schreiner) Chapin - brother to Mike (Babs) Chapin.  He attended Redford High School in Detroit and following his military service, he received his Physician Assistant Degree from the University of Detroit Mercy.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army who courageously fought in the Vietnam War.  Bill married Andrea Ulicny in 1974 in Detroit - throughout their marriage, they had 7 wonderful children together.  He had a longstanding career in medicine, eventually retiring from the Detroit Medical Center.  Bill enjoyed competitive shooting, spending time with his dogs, and collecting WWII memorabilia.

Surviving are his wife, Andrea; 6 children, Rebekah (Karl) Redmer of Grand Rapids, Kathryn (Dennis Fisher) Frink of Holly, Elizabeth Chapin of Holly, Sarah Trollman of Holly, Rachel (Garrett Cloutier) Chapin of Grand Blanc, and Deborah (Keith) Tester of Durand; grandchildren, Garett, Brady, Isaac, Abraham, Andrea, Samuel, Joseph, Jacob, Charles, and Thomas.
