Wilburn Francis Franks

FRANKS, Wilburn Francis - Age 87, of Fenton, passed away Monday, December 2, 2024. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, December 9, 2024 at More Life Tabernacle, 6430 Lennon Road, Swartz Creek. Bishop Jerry Stoner officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Sunday from 4-8 PM and at church Monday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to More Life Tabernacle. 

Wilburn was born June 27, 1937 in Bakersfield, CA, the son of David I. and Lilly Mae (Bivens) Franks. He was a 1955 graduate of Arbyrd High School in Arbyrd, MO. He married Imogene Mansfield July 11, 1960 in Arbyrd, MO and she preceded him in death August 22, 2021. He had resided in Fenton since 1971 coming from Arbyrd, MO. Wilburn retired in 1995 from General Motors, Grand Blanc Plant after 30 years of service. He was a member of More Life Tabernacle in Swartz Creek. He also was a member of the U.A.W.

Surviving are: his sons, Mark (Tammy) Franks of Fenton, David (Deborah) Franks of Troy and Timothy (LeeAnn) Franks of Linden; grandchildren, Maggen Franks of Fenton, Amanda (Josh) Walker of Fenton, Alisha (Jeremy) Fore of Cartersville, GA, Shannon (London) Hill of Detroit, Nathan Franks of Southfield and Ryan Franks of Linden; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Betty Watson of Jonesboro, AR; brother, Larry Franks of Hebersprings, AR; and several nieces and nephews. 

He was also preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Gabriel Franks; and 8 siblings. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
