Werner Karl Koths

KOTHS, Werner K. -- Age 85, of Swartz Creek, died July 8, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment will follow at Stiles Cemetery in Mayfield Twp. Visitation will be held Tuesday 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the charity of their choice. Mr. Koths was born August 28, 1925 in Lapeer County, the son of Adolph Karl and Margaret (Clemens) Koths. He married Doreen White on July 12, 1947 and she preceded him in death on January 3, 2000. Mr. Koths was a veteran of the United State Marine Corp serving during WWII in the Pacific Theatre and retired from Buick in 1980 after 30 years of service. He was a very talented woodworker. Surviving are: two sons, Eric (Karla) Koths of Poulsbo, WA and Gregory (Debra) Koths of Port Orchard, WA; five grandchildren; two sisters, Betty and Georgeanna; best friend and apprentice, Ernie Roesner.
