BENHART, Wayne L. - age 95, of Swartz Creek, died May 29, 2024. Services will be held in August 2024 at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. Wayne was born February 5, 1929 in Davenport, IA, the son of Joseph and Bernice (Becker) Benhart. He was a 1946 graduate of Oxford Junction High School in Iowa and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Wayne retired from Ford Motor Company in 1986. He enjoyed square dancing and spending winters in Florida and Arizona. Surviving are: three sons, Rodney Benhart, Joseph Benhart and David Benhart; step-daughter, Sandra Engel; grandchildren, Krissy Atkins, Chelsea Moore, Whitney Moreno, Raven Fisher, Josie Benhart, Dallas Benhart; and several great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Dirksen. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Joseph and Bernice Benhart; wife, Etta Benhart; daughter, Vicki Fisher; and sister, Eleanor Benhart.
