Wanieta Rose BRANNON

BRANNON, Wanieta Rose - age 78, of Flint, died Thursday, June 17, 2010 at her residence. Services will be held 11 AM Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Rev. Doyle Brannon officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to McLaren Hospice. Wanieta was born October 25, 1931 in Flint, the daughter of William and Dorothea (Gillmore) Howe and attended Utley High School. She married Russell Brannon, Jr in 1949. Mrs. Brannon was the past Chairman of the Flint Township Election Board. She loved craftwork, cake decorating and candy making. Surviving are: husband, Russell; three children, Aaron Brannon of Linden; Carolyn Brannon of Flint and Thomas Brannon of Flint; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Elaine Jones of FL; brother, Ronald (Judy) Howe of Tawas; sister-in-law, Mary (James) Brannon of FL; many nieces and nephews.
