Wanda Carlene Stiltner, a radiant soul known for her infectious laughter and boundless love, was born on April 7, 1969, in Hurley, Virginia. She left this world on March 8, 2025, in Fenton, Michigan, tragically taken from us due to a car accident. Wanda was just shy of her 56th birthday, yet her spirit will forever remain vibrant in the hearts of those who knew her.
Wanda was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Lawrence and Tilda Dotson, and her siblings: Cathy, Elmer, Terry, Timmy, Eleanor, and Russell Dotson. She was the cherished sister of Jeanne Turzanski, Shirley Estep, Geneva Dotson, Jimmy (Lisa) Dotson, and David Dotson. The depth of her family ties was profound, as she was a loving daughter, a devoted sister, and an endlessly supportive figure in the lives of her children.
For over a decade, Wanda made her mark in the Fenton community, cleaning houses with a work ethic that exemplified her caring nature. To her clients, she was not just a cleaner but a friend who transformed mundane tasks into moments of joy and connection. Her clients often became extended family, enriching her life as much as she enriched theirs.
Wanda was filled with a unique zest for life that drew people to her. You were never bored in her presence; she had an infectious energy that lit up any room. With a huge cup of ice and a cold Coke always in hand, she would flit from one activity to the next, making every moment count. Her true happiness, however, radiated when she was with her grandchildren, who held her entire heart. She created cherished memories with them, particularly her beloved Easter egg hunts, which she would joyfully orchestrate even when Easter was far off.
Wanda was known for her quirky characteristics, including an odd fascination with vacuum cleaners that often became a playful topic of teasing among her family. Despite her eccentricities, or perhaps because of them, she was a beloved figure, full of life and love.
Left to carry on her legacy of love are her children: Chasity Pennington (Shawn), Ricky Hamilton, and Lauren Shelley (Corey). Her grandchildren, Joey Pennington (Chelsea), Caleb Pennington, Kayleigh Pennington, Lyndsai Pennington, Zoey Coy, Sophia Coy, Landon Pennington, Addison Pennington, Aaron Hamilton, Carlie Hamilton, Daniel Shelley, Aubrie Shelley, Tanner Shelley, Seth Shelley, and Corey Shelley Jr., were the lights of her life, and each shared a special bond with their grandma.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the members of the Tyrone Township community who were with Wanda immediately following the accident. Knowing she wasn’t alone during her final moments has meant the world to them.
Wanda Carlene Stiltner will be missed beyond words, but her spirit will live on in the memories she created and the love she shared.
