Walter Ray Bailey

BAILEY, Walter Ray - Age 89, of Flint, passed away April 28, 2023. Funeral services will be held 11AM Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc. Pastor Daryl Taylor will officiate. Burial will follow in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3-8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to Genesee Independent Baptist Church. Walter was born December 1, 1933 in Cullman County, AL, the son of Rufus Claud and Stacy Earline (Thomas) Bailey. He retired from General Motors after many years of service. Ray was a member and Deacon at Genesee Independent Baptist Church. He is survived by his children, Barbara (Darian) Stepka, Judy (Jim) Bailey, Shirley (Kenny) Tufford and Jimmy (Ollie) Bailey; 21 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Joan Phillips and Brenda Faye Alldredge; brother, Howard Truman Bailey; many nieces and nephews.
