SPARE, Walter Lyle -- Age 71, of Clio, died May 7, 2021. Private interment at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Those desiring may make contributions to Karmanos Cancer Institute and Triumph Cancer Center. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Walter was born August 10, 1949 in Flint, the son of Lyle Spare and Addie "May" (Lobdell) Spare. He married Sharon Dimitroff on February 17, 1968. Walter retired from GM Buick after many years of service. His was a legacy of love and strength, a devoted family man, he was a loving and devoted husband, a "hands on" father and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars and work with his hands. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Sharon; 5 children; Trina (Chris) Scott of Flushing, Tammy (Guy) Browning of Flushing, Tresa (Don) Graunstadt of Houghton Lake, and Shelly Keller of Montrose; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and special nephew Vance (Stacey) Haywood. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Walter Spare Jr.; and 2 sisters Rose and Sally. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
