RENSCH, Walter Henry - age 89, of Fenton, died Thursday, March 14, 2019. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11:30 AM Monday, March 25, 2019 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St. Fenton with Fr. David Harvey celebrant. The family will receive friends from 10:30 - 11:30 at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John Educational Fund or the charity of one's choice. Walter was born June 6, 1929 in Toledo, OH, the son of Walter B. and Martha (Lockert) Rensch. He was a graduate of Woodward High School in Toledo and the University of Michigan. Walter was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp. He married Jane Schmitt on September 15, 1951. Walter retired from DuPont in 1993 where he was an Engineer. He was also a Licensed Professional Engineer. Walter was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking, loved doting on his grandchildren and enjoyed his monthly lunch with the DuPont retirees. Surviving are: wife, Jane of Fenton; six children, Barbara (Mike) Ellis of Georgia, Suzanne (John) Boomer of Farmington, Robert (Janice) Rensch of Kalamazoo, William Rensch of Fenton, Carol (John) Theofanopolous of Bloomfield Hills, and Mary Kay (Jeff) Ewing of Birmingham; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; four siblings, Jack Rensch of Toledo, Barbara Osinski of California, Tom Rensch of Temperance, and Theresa (Jim) Ernest of Toledo.
