Walter Hufford

Walter Eugene Hufford, age 67 of Hartland, went to be with the Lord on February 4, 2023.  A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 10, 2023 at the Sharp Funeral Homes - Fenton Chapel located at 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, Michigan 48430.  Burial will follow at West Highland Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the Sharp Funeral Homes - Fenton Chapel and on Friday from 12:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.  The funeral may be viewed by live stream on Mr. Hufford's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.

Walter Eugene Hufford was born on October 5, 1955 in San Juan, Puerto Rico to the late William and Lydia Hufford.  He worked as a machine operator for 32.5 years at General Motors - Willow Run Transmission Plant before his retirement.  He enjoyed bowling, playing the base guitar, movies, Michigan football, studying the bible and weekend drives and color tours with his wife, Linda.

The past several years Walter was bed bound as a result of back injuries from an auto accident. The family would like to thank their home health aide, Anne along with the visiting nurses from St. Joe's for their care and support.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Linda. Step-children, Ron (Richiel) Fenner and Nadine (Lee) Copp. Granddaughter, Rebekah. Sister, Evy Blankenship and brothers, Jose (Shelley) Hufford and Howard (Wendy) Hufford. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Hufford was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leonard Hufford and nephew, Christopher.
