W. Duane Arnold

ARNOLD, W. Duane - Age 98, of Fenton, passed away Monday, April 21, 2025. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, April 28, 2025 at Fenton United Methodist Church, 119 S. Leroy St, Fenton. Pastor Jeff Jaggers officiating. Burial in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held at the Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, Sunday from 4-7 PM; and at church Monday from 10 AM until the time of the service. Duane was born June 10, 1926 in Holly, the son of Walter Bush and Dorothy Elizabeth (Prescott) Arnold. He was a 1944 graduate of Holly High School. He married Betty J. Brown February 8, 1946 in Detroit. He has resided in Fenton since 1949 coming from Holly. He retired in 1982 from GM Proving Grounds, after 29 years of service; he also served as a Reserve Police Officer for the City of Fenton. Duane was a member of Fenton United Methodist Church, Mid Michigan BMW Touring Club and the Michigan Bow Hunters. He enjoyed motorcycling, archery, hunting, fishing, boating, kayaking and anything outdoors.

Surviving are: his wife of 79 years, Betty; sons, Donald (Lisa) Arnold of Pahrump, NV and Douglas (Deborah) Arnold of Haslett; grandchildren, Stephen Arnold of New Orleans, LA and Natalie Arnold of Haslett; sister, Jeannie Androski of Lewiston; and nieces and nephews.
