STREICHERT, Vivian B.  Age 73, of Mt. Morris, died Tuesday, November 2, 2004 at home surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, November 6, 2004 at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 6100 Richfield Rd., Flint, Rev. Harold K. Polk officiating. Interment in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held 2-9 PM Thursday and Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek; and 10 AM until the time of the funeral Saturday at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society for breast cancer research. Vivian was an 8 year survivor of breast cancer, and in July of 2003 she was diagnosed with metastatic bone cancer which she battled with for just over a year. Vivian was born May 4, 1931 in Gladwin the daughter of George A. and Gladys I. (Shell) Myers. She graduated from Dye High School in 1949. She married Gerald H. Streichert on December 30, 1950 in Flint and he preceded her in death March 26, 2001. She had resided in the Mt. Morris area since 1951. She was a member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon. She served as past president of the Mt. Morris Chamber of Commerce and was the Mt. Morris Deputy Treasurer for 5 years. She was a homemaker, seamstress making clothing and custom draperies for many years, quilter, and a very attentive grandma. Mrs. Streichert is survived by: daughter, Michele Carpenter and husband Christopher of Otisville; son, Dennis Streichert and wife Pamela of  Otisville; daughter-in-law, Annie Streichert of Escanaba; 9 grandchildren, Scott Streichert and wife Amy, Jerame Streichert and wife Jessie, Adam Streichert, Kimberly, Katie and Kali Carpenter, Ryan, Justin, and Nicholas Streichert; 5 great-grandchildren, Adria, Mya, and Trevor  Streichert, Sydnie and Max Streichert; sisters and brother, Helen Warram and husband John of Punta Gorda, FL, Barbara Jenkins of Swartz Creek, Virginia Ball of Punta Gorda, FL, Gerald Myers and wife Beverly of Swartz Creek, Patricia Smith and husband Don of Lake, MI, Betty Holmes and husband Lester of Beaverton, MI; sister-in-law, Arlene Myers of Durand; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; son, Max; parents, George and Gladys Myers; and brother, Elmer Myers. Friends may share online condolences or tributes at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
