Virginia " Ginger" Tibbits

Tibbits, Virginia "Ginger"- age 84, of Flint Twp. passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Road Chapel 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.Virginia was born October 1, 1937 in Presque Isle MI the daughter of Leonard and Mary (Gaffney) Flewelling. She went back to school and graduated from Kearsley.
Virginia married Ivan D. Tibbits on Sept. 26, 1959.  She worked for Bly Corning and Carman Ainsworth Schools. She loved spending time with her grandkids and loved to decorate for every holiday. She enjoyed camping, snowmobiling and being with family. But she also didn't like to lose at cards.
Surviving are her 4 children Terry Brabbs, Nancy Wildey, Pam (Jerry) Cranston and Allen ( Paula) Tibbits; Surrogate Son, Michael Brabbs. 8 Grandchildren Dennis (Becky) Brabbs, Tersa  (Paul) Molher, Justin Cranston, Amber (Barry) Kelly, Tiffany (Rob) Schaibly, Crystal Cranston, and Brady Tibbits; 13 great grandchildren; brother Victor ( Phyllis) Flewelling; sisters, Rojetta Gwaltney, and Diane Wilcox and brother-in-law Jack King; niece, Lois Bergquist Tibbits and many nieces and nephews. A special  thank you to Kindred Hospice.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her sister Ilo King; son-in-law James Brabbs; grandson, Patrick Brabbs;  great grandson Andrew Brabbs; and great granddaughter, Leah Brabbs; and her Loving Husband Ivan Duane Tibbits. Online Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
