Virginia Peters

PETERS, Virginia Lucille - age 92, of Flint, died August 24, 2021. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Monday, August 30, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473 with Rev. Jeremy Peters officiating. Visitation will be held 11 AM - 1 PM Monday at the funeral home. in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Court Street United Methodist Church. Virginia was born March 24, 1929 in Flint, the daughter of Mark Pringle and Jennie Lucille (Booth) Black. She was a 1947 graduate of Flint Central High School and received an associates degree from Flint Junior College. Virginia married Ralph Wayne Peters on February 14, 1953 in Flint and he preceded her in death on August 24, 1987. Virginia was a lifelong member of Court Street United Methodist Church, a member of Women's Society - Trinity Circle and the Red Hat Society of Grand Blanc. She volunteered as an Election worker for 21 years. Virginia enjoyed traveling, camping, reading, puzzles, crafts and working in her yard. Surviving are: three children, Sally (Mark) Branoff, Scott (Mary) Peters, and Clark (Tammy) Peters; grandchildren, Andrew Tomaswick, Mark (Olivia) Peters, Laura Peters (Aaron Mahoney), Christopher (Kelly) Heikkuri, and Katrina (Dave) Lachowicz; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Patrick and Alexander Tomaswick, Wyatt Heikkuri, Bryson and Reagan Lachowicz.
