PAGE, Virginia May "Virgie" - Age 90, of Flint, died April 30, 2022. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, May 5, 2022 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 11110 Saginaw St, Mt Morris, MI 48458 with Rev. Fr. Roy Horning celebrant. Interment will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends from 10 AM - 11 AM Thursday at the church. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Grand Blanc.Those desiring may make contributions to Genesee County Humane Society. Virginia was born June 11, 1931 in Flint, the daughter of Harry B. and Theresa D. (Piorkowski) Astemborski. Sister to Dorothy, Irene, and Jerry.Virginia graduated from All Saints Catholic High School and was a member of All Saints Catholic Church. She retired from Genesee County Friend of the Court and was a member of the Flint Chapter of American Business Women's Association serving multiple titles including president. "Virgie" loved her family and her dogs unconditionally. She loved camping, bowling, golf, and watching her family play sports (not an idle person). She was always willing to discuss politics and current events. Son Mark states: You are my best friend mom and thank you for being my mom. Daughter Cathy reminds us that mom was a grandmother and great-grandmother with a quick witted sense of humor, strong willed and independent. Son Michael states: Thank you mom for all of your sacrifices. You always put us kids first no matter what! You brought us up to know, without question, right from wrong and (almost as a curse - ha ha ) never to waste anything! Thank you for driving us and our friends around to our practices and games. I love you mom and already and always will miss you mom. Surviving grandchildren are Nicole, Jason, and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Kendall, Charlotte, and Sophia.
