Virginia Lowery

LOWERY, Virginia Irene- Age 72, of Burton, died Monday, December 31, 2007 in Orlando, FL.  A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 12, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until time of service Saturday.  Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.  Virginia was born in Flint, gradauted from Flint Central High School in 1952 and retired from AC Delco in 1984, passed away while on vacation with her beloved son, Dennis Friend; grandson, Nathan Friend and youngest grandson, Jaycob Friend, and his mother, Sherry DeMott.  Virginia left behind her loving and beloved granddaughter, Meghan Friend.  Virginia also left behind her beloved nieces and nephews, Marie Davis, Vernilee Kushuba, Edmond Green, and Andrew Green of Flint.  She is survived by many great and great-great nieces and nephews.  Virginia is survived by her brother, Robert Mehrling of Brewster, WA, and many, many close and dear friends of Flint and the surrounding area.  Virginia is preceded in death by her brother, Roberts Jacobs and her beloved sister, Marlita Josephine Briggs.  Online condolences and tributes may be posted on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
